What Are Asclera® Injections?

When injected into the problematic vein, Asclera® causes cellular debris and platelets to attach to the lining of the blood vessels and lead to a clot. This clotted vein is eventually replaced with tissue. After enough time, the blood vessel clots and is replaced by the body’s own tissue.

After your procedure, you should continuously wear support hose or compression stockings for 2-3 days, and then for 2-3 weeks during the day. In some cases, more than one treatment session is needed.
