How Does Clear + Brilliant® Work?
Clear + Brilliant® is commonly popular as ‘Baby Fraxel’ as it uses the same technology. It uses pulsating beams of light to exfoliate layers of your skin to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion but it is not as intense as Fraxel. Clear + Brilliant® is a simple procedure that minimizes your pore size, smooths your skin texture and removes brown spots, skin discolorations, pigmentations, and dark spots which are a typical result of sun damage. The sun damaged cells either make too much pigment or no pigment at all causing white or dark spots on your skin. The treatment evens the skin tone by breaking up damaged cells at the base of the epidermis. Patients with darker skin tone can also receive the treatment effectively.
What Can I Expect?
The procedure begins with a consultation with Dr. Kia to see if the treatment is right for you. A numbing cream will be applied on your face for additional comfort during the procedure. Clear + Brilliant® laser pokes tiny columns of heat into your skin, leaving untreated areas intact. The fractioned wounds on your skin strengthen the skin’s collagen production. An anti-oxidant serum is applied to your skin immediately after the treatment. A biocellulose masque may also be applied.
After the procedure, Dr. Kia will suggest a post-treatment skin care regime that needs to be followed.

Are There Any Major Side Effects?
Clear + Brilliant® laser treatment is not as intense as other laser treatments. Your skin will not be inflamed, red or looking burned and flaking for many days. The treatment has a low downtime compared to other treatments. Clear + Brilliant® can also be combined with microneedling and BOTOX® Cosmetic as a preventive aging plan.
